About Nanna Ditzel
Nanna Ditzel (1923–2005) was a pioneering Danish furniture and industrial designer known as the “First Lady of Danish Design.” Trained as a cabinetmaker and educated at the Danish School of Arts and Crafts, she broke boundaries with her experimental use of materials, organic shapes, and playful, bold approach to modernism — working across furniture, jewelry, and textiles throughout a career that spanned more than five decades.
