About Liam Everett

Liam Everett (b. 1973, Bridgeport, CT) is an American artist based in Point Reyes, California. His paintings are the result of an intensely physical process — layering, erasing, and transforming surfaces using unconventional materials including alcohol, salt, and sand alongside traditional media. Everett's work is rooted in a meditative, almost ritualistic practice that treats the act of painting as performance. His work has been exhibited internationally and is held in significant private and institutional collections. He is represented by Altman Siegel, San Francisco, and Galerie Chantal Crousel, Paris.
