About Jacob Kassay

Jacob Kassay (b. 1984, Buffalo, NY) is an American artist known for his reductive, process-driven paintings. He studied at the California College of the Arts and came to international attention with his silver-deposited canvases — works that engage light, surface, and perception in equal measure. Kassay's practice spans painting, sculpture, and installation, and his work has been exhibited at major institutions worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art, New York. He is represented by leading galleries internationally and is considered one of the most significant painters of his generation.
