About Christian Liaigre

Christian Liaigre was a renowned French interior and furniture designer celebrated as a master of 1990s minimalism. Rejecting the fussy opulence of the 1980s, he built a body of work defined by understated refinement, natural materials, and exceptional craftsmanship. His interiors attracted some of the most discerning clients of his era — among them Calvin Klein and Karl Lagerfeld — and his spaces, including New York’s The Mercer Hotel, remain benchmarks of considered modern design.
